Online Poker Cheats

Published by admin under Poker Articles

The most common form of online cheating is player collusion, where two or more players reveal their hand to each other. Playing online allows players to communicate on the phone, in person, or with another computer.

Also be wary of bots - software that plays instead of a real human are another known form of cheating.

Online poker cheats can do significant damage. Two scandals in August of 2007, where Absolute Poker's software code was cracked by a former employee, resulted in $1.6 million in refunds to its players.

Still, never accuse anyone of cheating. Either contact the poker room's administrators or simply stop playing at the table.

Free Casino Chips

Published by admin under Poker Articles

It is now possible to play for free at virtual casinos. In an industry worth more than $12 billion, you will realize that the free casino chips are affordable bait to lure more gamblers in.

Let's take a closer look at what a player receives with those free casino chips. There typically are four main kinds:

1. No Deposit Bonus is essentially free money, with the occasional string attached. Some online casinos require your credit card details, so be sure to read the rules.

2. Matching Deposit Bonus where top-ups are equal to your first deposit made and most beginners find them irresistible.

3. Uncashable Bonuses are also known as Sticky Bonuses, which allow players to leverage themselves against higher rollers, but cannot convert to cash.

4. A loyalty bonus is where players of good standing receive free casino chips from the online casinos in appreciation of their loyalty.

Strip Poker Stories

Published by admin under Poker Articles

There a quite a number of articles of strip poker stories circulating on the internet, some of them written in truth while others just made up by people. However, one of the most fascinating stories I ever heard strip poker was being played in college.

There was one particular weekend where a few freshmen, including guys and girls were in one of the study rooms playing some card games. In order to spice things up, one of them suggested playing strip poker. As to be expected, the girls were a bit hesitant to play. But after some persuading by the guys, they agreed.

Midway through the game, they decided to change a stakes a little. Instead of strip poker, sexual favors will suffice for the rewards. Little they know that the rooms were equipped with CCTV. While they were heavily engaged in their game of poker and sex, the school authorities saw the mess going on in the study room and called the police to report the activities.

In a report by a police officer to the school, the police recounted the sight before him when he entered the study room: There was a young lady lying on the floor in front of a young man with her face deeply buried in his legs. So much for a fascinating story eh?

Hoyle Poker Rules

Published by admin under Poker Articles

Hoyle Poker Rules was named after Edmond Hoyle, an authority in card games who wrote a book of rules and procedures on games. Edmond Hoyle was born in Yorkshire in 1672 and died in 1769. Not much was known of him before his death.

Poker was not invented until 150 years after Edmond Hoyle died. So what are Hoyle Poker Rules and why does it have to do with poker since Edmond Hoyle died 150 before poker was invented? Actually Hoyle has nothing to do with poker. It was in the 18th century when Edmond Hoyle published a book on gambling. In this book he describes about gaming and the rules and standards on a wide variety of games. Although in his book Edmond Hoyle did not describe poker, the rules of Hoyle were eventually evolved into poker.

Hoyle Poker Rules denote honesty and integrity. So whenever you heard people saying Hoyle Poker Rules, it merely demotes honesty and integrity in the game of Poker.

Anyone can play poker as long as he or she knows the basics. To make the game simpler, there are things you should keep in mind while you play the game such the ten poker hands, two card-hands, and other poker details. The ten poker hands are royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, one pair, and high card. Poker Rankings

Published by admin under Poker Articles, Top Poker

Poker players are always looking for ways to become better in the game. Those who join online poker sites would often compete all the time to learn new skills which they could use in future matches. The online sites would reward winning players by including them in poker rankings. Many members of the site would do their best just to see their names in the poker rankings. To make their members play harder, the poker rankings would have certain bonuses. For example, extra credit can be given to a player that is listed in the top 10 of the site's poker rankings. Professional players would often top the poker rankings. They are constantly perfecting their skills thus they are able to rack up many wins. However, it is not important for them to be on the poker rankings. Instead, they simply play for fun and try to learn new techniques that they can use for big games.

Poker Tournaments

Published by admin under Poker Articles, Poker News, Top Poker

Participating in poker tournaments can be a great way for you to meet other poker enthusiasts, enjoy poker, and make money. These tournaments can also be your stepping stone to qualify for larger international poker tournaments such as the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour. If you'd like to play in a poker tournament online, you must first make sure that you're already familiar enough with poker and that you can devise your strategies and hone your poker skills before entering a tournament. There are several types of tournaments that poker enthusiasts can enter. You can even choose according to the tournament's stakes level, the betting format, the tournament format, and the kind of poker game played. In order for you to enter a tournament, you must first pay a fixed buy-in at the start of the game. You will then be given tournament poker chips for you to play with. Some tournaments offer re-buys, which means that you can purchase more chips. At the end of the game, tournaments will usually award winners with prizes derived from the buy-ins collected.

Poker Game Tables

Published by admin under Poker Articles

You may not know this yet, but there are as many poker table as much as there are games, let me clarify. The Holdem game poker table is different from the game poker table of the 7-card. The Holdm table sets are longer, and resemble pool tables (small kind). Owing to this fact, one may have to buy various game poker tables according to the kind of poker involved. When what you have in mind is a bigger variety of games, that octagon game poker table would be very ideal. There is the kind of game poker table with legs built-in, or tops that could fit many kinds. A very good game poker table would have the molded space reserved for chips/drinks for a field of 8. Poker is not just all money or bragging, it is also attitude. The game poker table enhances the gambling experience, so if you want to impress everybody on your Weekend Poker, remember that the expenses would go a long way. (Remember the last time you played at a game where the table looked like it just got delivered from MGM?)
