Ranking Hands for Poker

Published by admin under Poker Hands

In playing poker, for the newbies, a very frustrating part is discerning if this hand is stronger than this or that. Here is the ranking of the poker hands, from highest to lowest. # Royal flush- 10 through ace, all of a similar suit, whatever suit it is would not matter. # Straight flush- any 5 cards of similar suit in consecutive sequence. # Four of a Kind- example- four Qs. # Full House- among all ranking hands for poker, this is a member of the elite "class", yet it would come up more frequently than a newbie might think or presume. This is any 3 cards of equal value, plus any kind of pair. # Flush- any set of non-consecutive whose suit is similar. # Straight- 5 consecutive of differing suits. # Three of a Kind- any 3 cards of equal worth. # Two pair- two cards of equal denomination, if two competitors have tied pairs (both), high card would be the tie-breaker. # Pair- 2 cards of equal value, enough said. # High card- assuming no kind of hand is formed, the biggest card in the set would claim the win.

Poker Tournaments

Published by admin under Poker Articles, Poker News, Top Poker

Participating in poker tournaments can be a great way for you to meet other poker enthusiasts, enjoy poker, and make money. These tournaments can also be your stepping stone to qualify for larger international poker tournaments such as the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour. If you'd like to play in a poker tournament online, you must first make sure that you're already familiar enough with poker and that you can devise your strategies and hone your poker skills before entering a tournament. There are several types of tournaments that poker enthusiasts can enter. You can even choose according to the tournament's stakes level, the betting format, the tournament format, and the kind of poker game played. In order for you to enter a tournament, you must first pay a fixed buy-in at the start of the game. You will then be given tournament poker chips for you to play with. Some tournaments offer re-buys, which means that you can purchase more chips. At the end of the game, tournaments will usually award winners with prizes derived from the buy-ins collected.

Poker Game Tables

Published by admin under Poker Articles

You may not know this yet, but there are as many poker table as much as there are games, let me clarify. The Holdem game poker table is different from the game poker table of the 7-card. The Holdm table sets are longer, and resemble pool tables (small kind). Owing to this fact, one may have to buy various game poker tables according to the kind of poker involved. When what you have in mind is a bigger variety of games, that octagon game poker table would be very ideal. There is the kind of game poker table with legs built-in, or tops that could fit many kinds. A very good game poker table would have the molded space reserved for chips/drinks for a field of 8. Poker is not just all money or bragging, it is also attitude. The game poker table enhances the gambling experience, so if you want to impress everybody on your Weekend Poker, remember that the expenses would go a long way. (Remember the last time you played at a game where the table looked like it just got delivered from MGM?)

Poker Rodeo Cake

Published by admin under Poker Articles, Poker News

There are many variations on simple poker games. For couples, strip poker games are becoming popular. Men who wish to show their bravery while playing the game can join poker rodeos. This is an event wherein contestants play inside a rodeo arena with live angry horses. Those who are the last to stand from the table get to win the cash. It is both a test of willpower and strategy. Luck is also an important factor. Players would not want to have horses trampling on them. Counting on the popularity of this game, bakeries have created food products for the fans. Thus, poker rodeo at cake items is now available. The design of this product focuses on the wild and wacky side of the game. It shows the players that fall and run away at the sight of the angry stallions. Even though it has this kind of theme, the cake items are definitely sweet and are fun to eat.

World Poker Tour

Published by admin under Poker Articles, Poker News

The World Poker Tour, also known as WPT, is a series of international poker tournaments. Founded in the United States, the World Poker Tour debuted in 2002 with most of the world's professional players as participants. The tournaments are held internationally, although most of the events happen in the United States. Because these tournaments are televised, more people have become interested in poker. In fact, this has led to the boom of poker games in online casino rooms as well as in conventional casinos. Basically, anyone who can pay the buy-in can compete in the WPT. However, this buy-in ranges from $2,500 to $25,000, amounts that only a certain few can afford. If you really want to compete in the World Poker Tour, you can take part in tournaments called "satellites." These are put forward by online poker websites and have buy-ins that range from $1 to $1000. When you play in these tournaments, you get the chance to win a seat for the World Poker Tour, so it's really important that you hone your skills and devise strategies in order to get ahead.
