The World Poker Tour, also known as WPT, is a series of international poker tournaments. Founded in the United States, the World Poker Tour debuted in 2002 with most of the world's professional players as participants. The tournaments are held internationally, although most of the events happen in the United States. Because these tournaments are televised, more people have become interested in poker. In fact, this has led to the boom of poker games in online casino rooms as well as in conventional casinos.
Basically, anyone who can pay the buy-in can compete in the WPT. However, this buy-in ranges from $2,500 to $25,000, amounts that only a certain few can afford. If you really want to compete in the World Poker Tour, you can take part in tournaments called "satellites." These are put forward by
online poker websites and have buy-ins that range from $1 to $1000. When you play in these tournaments, you get the chance to win a seat for the World Poker Tour, so it's really important that you hone your skills and devise strategies in order to get ahead.

Playing free on line poker is quite easy. You just need to look for sites that offer such free games. Once you've chosen a site, choose a game version since there are several types to choose from. Some sites offer free on line poker games without having to download any software. For other sites, you have to download a software program in order to play an online poker game.
When choosing an online poker game, these are just some of the variations you can choose from - Texas Hold'em, Pineapple Hold'em, Omaha Hold'em, Razz, Badugi, Draw, and Stud Poker. Stud Poker can be categorized into sub-types - seven-card stud poker, five-card stud poker, and Mexican stud poker.
Understanding the basic rules of these different types of poker games is one key in getting the upper hand. It may not guarantee you a win but it can certainly help you avoid losing large amounts of money.Social Bookmarking

Rationale of the string bet poker is to prevent a gambler from calling, to get a tell (via reaction), then putting more chips to change wager to raise, and when a gambler attempts to raise, putting the chips in the process, it should be categorized as a raise.
Look at this, in some Hollywood poker scenes, this scene gets to be done time and time agan. A smoking gambler about 200 years old, it's his move. One of the field has done a bet of 100 dollars, the old man throws out a puff of smoke enough to kill all asthmatics within a one-kilometer radius, and throws a stare enough to scare the Leader of the Zombies.
The old man then says- 'I will call that, then raise you another hundred'. It is a string poker bet, and it is actually prohibited. In Hollywood movies, it's allowed, but that's Hollywood for you. At any self-respecting casino, particularly in Las Vegas, you won't see the string bet poker. One could not call then raise simultaneously, you can either raise or just call, but not the two of them.
If one of your casino opponents does a string bet poker, don't punch him in the face at once. Better: just call his attention, he might just be a newbie, that, or he has watched all Hollywood poker movies since 1900.

There are basically 2 kinds of poker games, the tourneys (tournaments) or the ring games, let me start with the latter. They are action games at the casinos, and yes, they are live contests. Gamblers buy in to join, and they cash out if done, and once a seat is vacated, somebody waiting at the wings could fill in. Some rules in this kind of poker games is solidly enforced, like, anybody could not remove any fraction of his chips on the table, when done, it should be a cashout and the gambler has to quit the game. If he wishes to rejoin, he should pay the buyin once more.
The tourneys are poker games of a more serious setup. It has a preset path of ending, when just one player is remaining. Gamblers also pay a buyin, and in return, he would be getting a sum of chips to gamble with. If one is out of chips, it's goodbye for him/her.
A subcategory of poker games under tourneys is the invitational kind. The winners of the satellites would be given invitations, another term for these tourneys is the freeroll.
One main difference between a tournament and a ring game concerns the antes and blinds. The blinds/antes of ring games are fixed, while those in tourneys, they rise as the contest moves on.

Let me define this first, 'foxy poker' for me is anything related to a player (either gender) exuding sexiness at the game, whether in actions or attire. But there is another definition, which is the rationale for this article, and that is the sex-oriented thrust, going to exploitation. Exploitation comes in differing shades, and exactly what kind of shade the following facts are, you judge for yourself.
The foxy poker phenomenon is probably not really ugly if it is done evenly between the 2 genders, but really, all I see are women being shown. Let me tell you about this online site's tourney, they called it "Babes and Bounty". Their image at the site is a lady wearing a bikini top, money in the pic, as though poker bankroll and scantily-dressed women are two concepts that could not be separated from each other.
Now, a gambling blog came out with their piece, the theme of which so many entities have done in the past- TOP 10 SEXIEST WOMEN IN POKER. Now, a long time ago, I wrote something like that too, but the fact that I had no pictures included made mine not foxy poker, if you get my meaning.
One of the featured was Evelyn Ng, under the image was a quote that said "Evelyn is a great ride" or words to that effect. I do not know about you, but the line stinks- both unoriginal and filled with sexual innuendos. Another one, Lily Elviro, and the pose she was in at that photo was where she was leaning, showing a peek of her breasts- nothing bad? The comment they put in there: "It's hard for Lily to always carry a heavy set of puppies like that"- and that is a quote. Foxy, very foxy poker, don't you think so?
