World Poker Tour
The World Poker Tour, also known as WPT, is a series of international poker tournaments. Founded in the United States, the World Poker Tour debuted in 2002 with most of the world's professional players as participants. The tournaments are held internationally, although most of the events happen in the United States. Because these tournaments are televised, more people have become interested in poker. In fact, this has led to the boom of poker games in online casino rooms as well as in conventional casinos.
Basically, anyone who can pay the buy-in can compete in the WPT. However, this buy-in ranges from $2,500 to $25,000, amounts that only a certain few can afford. If you really want to compete in the World Poker Tour, you can take part in tournaments called "satellites." These are put forward by online poker websites and have buy-ins that range from $1 to $1000. When you play in these tournaments, you get the chance to win a seat for the World Poker Tour, so it's really important that you hone your skills and devise strategies in order to get ahead.Social Bookmarking
